The Magical Ice Kingdom
Our team here at Hamilton Ice Sculptors has conceptualised and created the Magical Ice Kingdom – the centrepiece of Winter Wonderland, Hyde Park for five years now. With over 3 million visitors, it’s the biggest ice exhibition of its kind anywhere in the world and requires over 50 ice artists to begin work as early as July for a November opening.
In order to create this awe-inspiring fantasy world at minus 10 degrees, 250 tonnes of snow and 100 tonnes of ice are used to hand carve over 100 intricately designed sculptures. Castles, knights, dragons, trolls and a whole host of mythical creatures and legendary characters are re-imagined, not only to wow the kids, but also to get the grown-ups in the Christmas spirit.
