Over the Christmas period, the Hamiltons hosted Building Magazine for a very special masterclass in which three different companies from different sectors of the construction industry were challenged to create the best ice sculpture.
A contractor, a QS project manager and an architect battled it out to carve the best building from ice with the different teams choosing to sculpt the Walkie Talkie, the Stage Building, the Empire State Building and the Leaning Tower of Pisa respectively.
The buildings were judged by professional structural engineers with the Leaning Tower of Pisa winning out on criteria such as, effort, ambition, structural integrity, detail and resemblance to the original.
This masterclass not only served to create a nice festive feature in Building Magazine, but it also raised money for the charity, CRASH – the UK construction and property industry’s charity for the homeless.
