The Hamiltons love designing ice bars and they’re one of the most popular requests because they’re extravagant, impressive and really have that illusive wow factor. Events include: parties, weddings, corporate functions, receptions, launches and film premieres.
The team regularly carve five or six meter bars for these sorts of occasions which consist of two tonnes of sculpted ice constructed in separate sections. There are perspex serving areas and bars are often complemented by sorbet cocktails, champagne ice bowls and several luges which are ice sculptures that you can drink from!
Ice bars, as with any sculpture, are made to order in keeping with the client’s bespoke requirements. Logos can be carved, objects can be frozen inside and all shapes and sizes can be catered for. Circular bars are extremely fashionable at the moment and there’s no need to just have one. Many events utilise a large central bar along with several other one meter stations dotted all over the venue.
All bars are lit from behind with LED lights in order to create some truly dazzling effects and this will still look spectacular at the end of an evening. A two tonne ice bar will only melt approximately 10% after eight hours indoors. Discrete drainage plinths are used to catch the water and the team will come and clear away all the ice and equipment at the end of a function so that organisers don’t have any extra hassle.
If you’re thinking about having a ice bar to add something unique and memorable to your next event, then please don’t hesitate to get in touch. The team will be happy to guide you through your options.
