Imagine if your artwork can change, melt, and disappear again within hours? That’s exactly what makes ice artwork so powerful!
Unlike traditional event decor, it isn’t permanent – and that’s precisely the point.
Every ice sculpture our team crafts is designed to be experienced in the moment, creating a sense of urgency, beauty, and exclusivity that few other art forms match.
What do we mean by ‘ice artwork’?
Ice artwork is an artistic piece made from ice, typically carved and sculpted into a specific design.
While most people think of decorative swans found at weddings or corporate events, our creations go far beyond that.
Ice artwork can include:
- Detailed figurative sculptures
- Abstract installations
- Functional design, such as ice bars or drink luges
- Conceptual pieces for exhibitions or public displays
But what makes ice artwork unique is its ephemeral nature.
Unlike traditional materials, ice will evolve, responding to the light, temperature and environment, adding an extra layer of depth to any and every piece.
Is “ice sculpture” an art form?
We certainly think so!
Ice sculptures are widely recognised worldwide as a legitimate art form that requires artistic vision and technical mastery.
Creating a beautiful piece of icy artwork requires an innate understanding of form, proportion and composition.
It involves mastering specialist tools and carving techniques, as well as working quickly and precisely within time constraints.
This blend of skill and artistry places ice carving alongside other respected sculptural disciplines, and our team is proud to be at the forefront of what is a unique and ever-evolving art form.
If you’d like a deeper insight into the craft, our guide ‘Everything you need to know about ice carving’ explores the techniques and expertise we use.
The different types of ice artwork
Ice is incredibly versatile, and can be sculpted into a wide range of styles to suit different events and purposes, including:
- Realistic sculptures: Highly detailed sculptures often depicting people, animals or objects
- Abstract and contemporary designs: Modern ice artwork with abstract forms, clean lines and creative lighting
- Branded pieces: Bespoke ice artworks to showcase logos, products, or campaign messaging
- Interactive installations: From ice bars to immersive worlds such as the Magical Ice Kingdom, interactive ice artwork encourages audience engagement and unforgettable experiences
- Embedded and suspended designs: Objects can be frozen directly into the ice to create visually striking pieces, offering a unique way to showcase products or branding

Our real-world ice artwork
Our team has worked on a wide range of creative projects from one-off event pieces to large-scale installations.
Here’s some we’re especially proud of:
Public installation for a brand activation

This large-scale ice sculpture was created as part of a city-centre installation in Liverpool, where we worked with the Smirnoff Co. to support the launch of two new vodka flavours: Green Apple Smirnoff and Lime Smirnoff.
Positioned within the busy retail environment of Liverpool One, this sculpture was designed to capture attention, draw in crowds and create a memorable brand experience.
Creative cinematic ice artwork

Alongside large-scale installations and brand activations, we also create highly detailed, character-led ice artwork like this fun BB-8 sculpture.
This piece, made for a client by our brilliant sculptor, Jack, showcases our ability to transform a solid block of ice into a recognisable, intricate design of beloved characters!
